Fr. Michael Skrocki

Pastor

Fr. Michael Skrocki, son of the late Stanley and Jeselda (Pesaresi) Skrocki, was born in Allentown, Pa.  He grew up in the Allentown area and attended Catholic grade school and high school.  As a young man, Fr. Michael was active in the Boy Scouts and attained the rank of Eagle Scout.  Besides an undergraduate degree in Russian Father also has some expertise with computers and worked in that field for a number of years.
 
In 1996 Father Michael entered the eparchial seminary of St. Gregory the Theologian in Newton, MA and attended classes at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Seminary.  He was ordained to the priesthood in 2000 and served as pastor of St. Ann Melkite Greek-Catholic Church in Waterford, CT and later as pastor of St. Ann Melkite Greek-Catholic Church in Danbury, CT.  Fr. Michael serves on the Eparchial Board of Consultors, teaches Canon Law at the Eparchial Deacon Training Program, and has edited several of the liturgical publications of Sophia Press – the publishing wing of the Eparchy.  Currently, Fr. Michael serves as the Judicial Vicar for the Eparchy as well as serving as Pastor of St. Ignatios Melkite Greek-Catholic Church in Augusta, GA.
